Fluxer never asks you for ID, selfies, face scans or any other document to prove how old you are, as [section 11 of our privacy policy](https://fluxer.com/privacy.md) says. Where a law needs an age check that Fluxer doesn't offer, we restrict access to fluxer.com in that region. ## Will Fluxer be forced to verify my age with a face scan or ID? Fluxer never asks for your ID or a face scan. Where a law needs these checks for adult content, we lock age-restricted communities, channels and media in that region, and where a law needs them for every account, fluxer.com is unavailable in that region. ## Where is Fluxer restricted today? [Regional restrictions](https://fluxer.com/help/regional-restrictions.md) lists every restriction we apply and the law behind each one, and if you think one was applied to you by mistake, you can [ask a person on our team to look at it](https://fluxer.com/privacy.md). ## Do laws about social media apply to Fluxer? Some do and some don't, because each law sets out which apps it covers. Australia's minimum age of 16 for social media, in force since December 10, 2025, leaves out services whose main purpose is messaging or voice calls and video calls, as [section 5 of its rules](https://www.legislation.gov.au/F2025L00889/latest/text) says, and in our reading Fluxer is one of those services. The United Kingdom's [Online Safety Act 2023](https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2023/50/contents) applies to Fluxer because people talk to each other and share content on it. It needs highly effective age checks only for certain kinds of harmful content, such as pornography and content that promotes self-harm. Brazil's [Digital ECA](https://www.planalto.gov.br/ccivil_03/_ato2023-2026/2025/lei/L15211.htm) applies to apps and services that children are likely to use, and it needs age checks that can be audited and doesn't let people prove their age just by stating it. In the United States, Mississippi's HB 1126 needs age verification for every user, and in our reading it applies to Fluxer, so fluxer.com is unavailable there. Fluxer doesn't offer any way to prove your age, and [section 11 of our privacy policy](https://fluxer.com/privacy.md) rules out ID documents, selfies, face scans and every other document for checking anyone's age. Zero-knowledge proofs can show that someone is old enough without showing who they are or their date of birth, and so can the age verification app that the European Commission has [asked EU countries to make available](https://digital-strategy.ec.europa.eu/en/library/commission-sets-out-common-approach-eu-wide-age-verification-technologies) by December 31, 2026. ## Can I use Fluxer without depending on fluxer.com?
