# Features and apps

What Fluxer has today and what's planned.

- [Fluxer apps: desktop, mobile and Linux packages](https://fluxer.com/help/apps.md): Fluxer runs in your browser, on Windows, macOS and Linux, and in beta on Android. The iOS app is coming to the App Store in early November 2026, and the apps can sign in to several accounts.
- [Is Fluxer on iOS, the App Store and Google Play?](https://fluxer.com/help/fluxer-app-store.md): We expect Fluxer's iOS app on the App Store in early November 2026, and the TestFlight beta is on hold for now. Until then, a Fluxer app you find there isn't ours, and the Android app is in the Google Play beta.
- [Will Fluxer be on alternative app stores on iPhone?](https://fluxer.com/help/ios-alternative-app-stores.md): We plan to publish the Fluxer iOS app in alternative app stores in the EU, Japan and Brazil, where Plutonium would cost about 5% more than on the web. There's no date yet.
- [Will Fluxer be on F-Droid and other Android app stores?](https://fluxer.com/help/f-droid.md): Not yet. We plan to publish the Fluxer Android app on F-Droid and Accrescent for the full release, and you can install it without Google Play from our download page.
- [Is the Fluxer iOS app on TestFlight or the App Store?](https://fluxer.com/help/ios-testflight.md): Fluxer's TestFlight beta for iOS is on hold for now following a technical issue at Apple, and we expect Fluxer to be on the App Store in early November 2026.
- [Does Fluxer work on Intel Macs?](https://fluxer.com/help/fluxer-on-mac.md): Yes. The Fluxer desktop app for macOS is a universal build for Intel and Apple silicon Macs running macOS 13 or later.
- [Which Fluxer Linux packages are official?](https://fluxer.com/help/linux-packages.md): The official Linux builds are on the Fluxer download page. Other packages are made by the community and aren't checked by Fluxer.
- [How do I install Fluxer on Ubuntu and Debian?](https://fluxer.com/help/install-fluxer-on-ubuntu-and-debian.md): Add Fluxer's signed apt repository and install the fluxer package on Ubuntu or Debian, and apt keeps Fluxer up to date with the rest of your system.
- [How do I install Fluxer on Fedora?](https://fluxer.com/help/install-fluxer-on-fedora.md): Add Fluxer's signed dnf repository and install the fluxer package on Fedora, RHEL, Rocky, Alma or CentOS Stream, and dnf keeps it up to date.
- [How do I install Fluxer on Arch Linux?](https://fluxer.com/help/install-fluxer-on-arch-linux.md): Add Fluxer's signed pacman repository and install the fluxer package on Arch Linux, and pacman keeps Fluxer up to date with the rest of your system.
- [How do I install Fluxer with Flatpak?](https://fluxer.com/help/install-fluxer-with-flatpak.md): Install Fluxer from our own Flatpak repository with one click or one command, or from Flathub, which can get updates a few weeks after we release them.
- [How do I download the Fluxer AppImage for Linux?](https://fluxer.com/help/fluxer-appimage.md): Download the Fluxer AppImage or tar.gz for x64 or arm64 from the Linux downloads. The AppImage updates itself, but the tar.gz doesn't.
- [How do I download the Fluxer APK?](https://fluxer.com/help/android-apk.md): Get the Fluxer Android beta as an APK from our Android download page, pick the Firebase or UnifiedPush build, keep it updated and check its signature.
- [Why won't Obtainium update Fluxer on Android?](https://fluxer.com/help/obtainium-update-older-version.md): If Obtainium says it can't install an older version of Fluxer, uninstall Fluxer once and install it again from Obtainium, then sign in again.
- [Can I use more than one Fluxer account at once?](https://fluxer.com/help/multiple-accounts.md): The desktop and mobile apps can sign in to several Fluxer accounts and switch between them.
- [Are themes and custom CSS allowed on Fluxer?](https://fluxer.com/help/themes-and-custom-css.md): Yes. Themes and custom CSS are built into the Fluxer web and desktop apps for everyone, and here's what to know before you install someone else's theme.
- [How do I turn off custom CSS that broke Fluxer?](https://fluxer.com/help/turn-off-custom-css.md): Press Ctrl + Shift + Alt + K, or ⌘ Command + ⇧ Shift + ⌥ Option + K on a Mac, to turn off Quick CSS and saved themes in the Fluxer web and desktop apps without deleting them.
- [Messaging on Fluxer: search, replies, GIFs and formatting](https://fluxer.com/help/messaging.md): How search, replies, formatting, GIFs, translation and group DMs work on Fluxer, and which messaging features are planned or not built yet.
- [Does Fluxer have threads and forums?](https://fluxer.com/help/threads-and-forums.md): Yes. Threads, forum channels and media channels are in early beta for everyone on Fluxer, and public forums that anyone can read on the web are planned.
- [How to format messages on Fluxer](https://fluxer.com/help/formatting-messages.md): Markdown in Fluxer: bold, lists, code blocks, tables, spoilers, timestamps, alerts and more, with what to type for each one.
- [How do I make Markdown alerts in Fluxer chat?](https://fluxer.com/help/markdown-alerts.md): Start a quote with [!NOTE], [!TIP], [!IMPORTANT], [!WARNING] or [!CAUTION] to turn it into an alert box with an icon and a title in a Fluxer message.

- [How do I mark a spoiler on Fluxer?](https://fluxer.com/help/spoiler-tags.md): Wrap text in two vertical bars to hide it as a spoiler, and mark images and files as spoilers before you send them.
- [Can Fluxer show what game or music I'm playing?](https://fluxer.com/help/activity-status.md): Not yet. An activity status, sometimes called rich presence, is planned and being worked on, and it will be opt-in, so it stays off until you turn it on.
- [Can people find my Fluxer messages on Google?](https://fluxer.com/help/are-my-messages-on-google.md): No. Fluxer's web app tells search engines not to index it, and Fluxer will never publish messages from DMs or chat channels on the web. Public forums are planned, and the only channels planned to be readable on the web are forum channels that a community creates as public and announcement channels that a community chooses to publish.
- [Can Fluxer delete old messages automatically?](https://fluxer.com/help/auto-delete-messages.md): No. Fluxer doesn't delete old messages automatically or have disappearing messages, but you can delete your own messages in bulk by community and date.
- [Voice, video and screen sharing on Fluxer](https://fluxer.com/help/voice-and-video.md): Fluxer has voice and video calls with screen sharing on desktop, web and mobile, and a new voice system with end-to-end encrypted calls is on the roadmap.
- [Can I share my screen with audio on Fluxer?](https://fluxer.com/help/screen-share-audio.md): Yes, with some differences between Windows, macOS, Linux and the browser. Here is what works where.
- [Why can't I share a fullscreen game on Windows?](https://fluxer.com/help/share-fullscreen-game-windows.md): Some fullscreen games can't be captured on Windows right now. Capturing the game in OBS Studio and sharing its virtual camera works around it.
- [Why is there a yellow border when I share my screen?](https://fluxer.com/help/windows-screen-share-yellow-border.md): Windows draws the yellow border when an app captures a window or screen through its own capture feature. Here is when you'll see it and how to avoid it.
- [How do I use push-to-talk on KDE Plasma or Wayland?](https://fluxer.com/help/kde-push-to-talk.md): On Wayland, an optional setting lets Fluxer's desktop app detect your push-to-talk key from your keyboard device, and other apps still get the key as usual.
- [What are peer-to-peer calls on Fluxer?](https://fluxer.com/help/peer-to-peer-calls.md): In a peer-to-peer call, audio and video go directly between the people in the call, and none of it passes through Fluxer's servers. The people in the call can see each other's IP addresses, and the app asks before you join one unless you chose to join without asking.
- [Which noise suppression should I use on Fluxer?](https://fluxer.com/help/noise-suppression.md): Fluxer offers several noise suppression options. Here is what each is good at and what to try if your voice sounds cut off.
- [Why do I keep getting disconnected from calls on Fluxer?](https://fluxer.com/help/call-disconnects.md): Common causes of dropped calls, what you can check, and how to send a voice report so the team can find the cause.

- [How do I report a voice or video problem?](https://fluxer.com/help/report-a-voice-problem.md): Turn on developer mode, make the problem happen in a call, copy the voice diagnostics and post them in a bug report on Fluxer Feedback.
- [Why you get too many or too few notifications on Fluxer](https://fluxer.com/help/notifications.md): Why notifications you turned off still arrive or none arrive at all, how large communities change the defaults, and why your phone stays quiet on desktop.
- [File uploads, link previews and invite links on Fluxer](https://fluxer.com/help/files-and-links.md): How file uploads, file expiry, image sizes, link previews, invite links and saved media work on Fluxer, and what to check when something goes wrong.
- [What is the file upload limit on Fluxer?](https://fluxer.com/help/file-upload-limit.md): On fluxer.com, each file can be up to 25 MB on a free account and up to 500 MB with Plutonium, with up to 10 files in one message.
- [When do attachments expire on Fluxer?](https://fluxer.com/help/attachment-expiry.md): Files of 5 MB or less stay available for about three years and files near 500 MB for about 14 days, and viewing a message renews a file close to expiring.
- [Why do attachments expire on Fluxer?](https://fluxer.com/help/why-do-attachments-expire.md): On fluxer.com, attachments of 5 MB or smaller last about three years, larger files expire sooner and files in saved media never expire. Storing every unused file forever would make our storage costs grow without limit.
- [Bots, webhooks and integrations on Fluxer](https://fluxer.com/help/bots.md): Fluxer has bots, webhooks and a public API compatible with large parts of Discord's API, and slash commands and buttons for bots are on the 2026 roadmap.
- [Will my Discord bot work on Fluxer?](https://fluxer.com/help/discord-bots-on-fluxer.md): Fluxer is compatible with large parts of Discord's API, so many Discord bots can be ported with small changes, but each one has to run as its own Fluxer bot.
- [Does Fluxer have slash commands?](https://fluxer.com/help/slash-commands.md): Not for bots yet. Slash commands, buttons and other interactions for bots are item 6 on Fluxer's 2026 roadmap, and bots use prefix commands today.
- [Third-party clients, mods and automating your account](https://fluxer.com/help/third-party-clients.md): Fluxer welcomes third-party and modified clients, themes and non-malicious automation of your own account. Here's what's allowed and what isn't.
- [Are third-party clients allowed on Fluxer?](https://fluxer.com/help/are-third-party-clients-allowed.md): Yes. Third-party and modified Fluxer clients are welcome, and a client that meets our standards may be featured on the download page.
- [Can I automate my own Fluxer account with my user token?](https://fluxer.com/help/automate-my-account.md): Yes, non-malicious automation of your own account is allowed. Spam, scraping other people's data and getting around bans or rate limits aren't.
- [Accessibility on Fluxer](https://fluxer.com/help/accessibility.md): Fluxer supports screen readers, keyboard navigation and text-to-speech, and you can report accessibility problems to accessibility@fluxer.com.
- [What are Fluxer's keybinds and keyboard shortcuts?](https://fluxer.com/help/keybinds.md): Every built-in keybind, or keyboard shortcut, in the Fluxer web and desktop apps on macOS, Windows and Linux, and how to change them.
- [Do a clean reinstall of Fluxer](https://fluxer.com/help/clean-reinstall.md): Remove Fluxer and everything it stores on your device, then install it again. The steps are for Windows, macOS, Linux, the web app and the mobile apps.
- [How do I reinstall Fluxer on Windows?](https://fluxer.com/help/reinstall-fluxer-on-windows.md): Quit Fluxer, uninstall it, delete its folders in %LocalAppData% and %AppData%, then install it again. The steps also cover Canary and the portable app.
- [How do I reinstall Fluxer on a Mac?](https://fluxer.com/help/reinstall-fluxer-on-mac.md): Quit Fluxer, move it to the Trash, delete its folder in Application Support and install it again. Here are the steps, also for Fluxer Canary.
- [How do I reinstall Fluxer on Linux?](https://fluxer.com/help/reinstall-fluxer-on-linux.md): Remove Fluxer with the tool you installed it with, delete ~/.config/fluxer and install it again. Steps for the Flatpak, the packages, the AppImage and tar.gz.
