# Can creators get paid by fans on Fluxer?

Not yet. Creator payments, where fans pay for roles, exclusive content or event tickets in a creator's community, are planned for 2027 or later.

Creator payments are [item 8 on our roadmap](https://fluxer.com/blog/roadmap-2026.md) and are planned for 2027 or later, so they aren't in the app yet. Until then, fans can't pay for roles, channels or event tickets in a creator's community on Fluxer, and Fluxer doesn't handle payments for creators.

## Does Fluxer have creator payments?

Not yet. Fluxer has no paid roles, paid channels or ticket sales in communities today, and it has [no role syncing from membership services](https://fluxer.com/help/bots.md) either. [Plutonium](https://fluxer.com/help/plutonium.md) is a subscription for your own account, and it doesn't pay creators or unlock anything in a community.

## What could creator payments do?

With creator payments, fans could pay to unlock roles and exclusive content in a creator's community. That access could be permanent or time-limited, and fans could pay for it either with a one-time purchase or with a recurring subscription.

Creators could also sell tickets for [events](https://fluxer.com/help/scheduled-events.md), where a ticket or a temporary role opens specific text and voice channels for the length of the event. None of these details are final yet.

## Will Fluxer take a cut of creator payments?

On fluxer.com, Fluxer would handle the payments and take a fee, most likely between 5 and 10% of each payment. That fee would help fund the cost of hosting fluxer.com and developing both fluxer.com and the open source software behind it.

Self-hosted instances would get creator payments too, like everything on the roadmap. Those instances are run by separate people and organizations, and Fluxer wouldn't take a cut of what creators on those instances receive from their fans.

## When are creator payments coming?

The roadmap plans them for 2027 or later, and we don't have a more exact date. You can vote for them or tell us what you need on [Fluxer Feedback](https://feedback.fluxer.com), and we'll list them in our [patch notes](https://fluxer.com/blog.md) when they're out. The [roadmap](https://fluxer.com/help/roadmap.md) has the status of every planned item.
