# Is there a bridge between Discord and Fluxer?

Community-made bridges can link a Fluxer community to a Discord server so members can move at their own pace. They aren't affiliated with Fluxer.

Fluxer has no official bridge to Discord, but people outside Fluxer have made bridges that link a Fluxer channel to a Discord channel. Messages sent on one side show up on the other, so your community can move at its own pace and each member can pick an app.

## Is there a bridge between Discord and Fluxer?

There's no official one. The bridges below are made and run by people outside Fluxer, and you add one to both your Discord server and your Fluxer community as a bot. Fluxer itself doesn't offer a bridge to Discord or to any other chat app.

## Which Discord to Fluxer bridges exist?

These are the bridges we know of, in alphabetical order. They aren't affiliated with Fluxer Platform AB or endorsed by us, and we don't recommend one over another.

- [Bifröst](https://github.com/KartoffelChipss/bifrost) is an open source bridge between Discord and Fluxer that you can use as a hosted bot or run yourself with Docker, and it bridges replies and attachments.
- [Bolt](https://williamhorn.ing/bolt) is the hosted version of Lightning, an open source bridge bot that links Discord, Fluxer and several other chat apps, and it has its own terms.
- [Fluxcord](https://fluxcord.jbcrn.dev/) is an open source bridge between Discord and Fluxer under the MIT license, which you can also run yourself, and it can bridge voice channels too.
- [Orax](https://oraxbot.com) is a bot that syncs channels across Discord and Fluxer.

Each bridge has its own terms, features and limits, and they can change at any time. Check a bridge's own site and terms before you add it to your community.

## Is a bridge safe to use?

We haven't checked the code of these bridges or how they handle messages, so only add one you trust. A bridge bot can see every message in the channels you link, and it copies them to the other app, where that app's rules apply to the copies. Let your members know when a channel is bridged, since what they post there also shows up on the other side.

Add a bridge to Fluxer as a bot through its authorization link, and never give anyone the token of your own account. The bridge [sees what any bot sees](https://fluxer.com/help/what-others-see.md) in the channels it can access, and the bridge's developer can keep copies of those messages.

## Why can't my bridge bot join more than 100 Discord servers?

That limit is set by Discord. Discord's developer help says an app has to be [verified by Discord](https://support-dev.discord.com/hc/en-us/articles/23926564536471-How-Do-I-Get-My-App-Verified) to grow past 100 servers, and Fluxer can't change that. Fluxer has no verification step for bots, and a bot that you add to a community through its authorization link doesn't count toward any limit on how many communities it can be in.

## Can a bridge connect Fluxer to Matrix?

Some bridges also support other chat apps besides Discord. Fluxer won't federate with Matrix directly, and [our roadmap](https://fluxer.com/blog/roadmap-2026.md) says a bridge can connect the two. [Federation between Fluxer instances](https://fluxer.com/help/federation.md) is planned as an experimental draft in 2026 and a stable release in 2027, and each instance will choose whether to turn it on and keep working without it.
