# How do I install Fluxer with Flatpak?

Install Fluxer from our own Flatpak repository with one click or one command, or from Flathub, which can get updates a few weeks after we release them.

On the [Linux downloads](https://fluxer.com/download#linux), click "Install with Flatpak", and your software manager opens and installs Fluxer from our own Flatpak repository if it supports Flatpak. It works on any Linux distribution without a terminal, and you get every update the day we release it.

## What is the Flatpak command for Fluxer?

To install from a terminal, run the command from the "Any distribution" tab on the download page. It adds a Flatpak remote called `fluxer` and installs `app.fluxer.Fluxer`.

```

Our Flatpak repository is signed with the same archive key as our other repositories, which has the fingerprint `09D01339EE128925F75E675C855C5BDE34D205D2`.

## Is Fluxer on Flathub?

Yes. We make the Flathub version of Fluxer, `app.fluxer.Fluxer`, and the download page links to it under "Get it on Flathub". You can also install it from a terminal.

```

An update can come out on Flathub a few weeks after we release it, so the Flathub version doesn't always have the newest changes. Flathub only has the stable app.

## Should I use Flathub or Fluxer's own Flatpak?

We recommend our own Flatpak, which gets every update on the day we release it. Both use the same app ID, so remove the Flathub version first and then install ours. Your settings and sign-ins on this computer stay as they are when you switch.

## How does the Fluxer Flatpak update?

Updates come through your software manager, from the repository you installed Fluxer from. If the app won't pick up an update, click "Restart Fluxer" in the tray menu.

## How do I install Fluxer Canary with Flatpak?

[Fluxer Canary](https://fluxer.com/help/is-fluxer-canary-safe.md) is only in our own Flatpak repository, as `app.fluxer.FluxerCanary`, and you install it from a terminal with the reference file for Canary.

```
