# Is Fluxer still in beta? Do I need an invite code?

Anyone can sign up for fluxer.com without an invite code. The Android app is in public beta on Google Play, and we expect the iOS app on the App Store in early November 2026.

You don't need an invite code to join fluxer.com. The Android app is in public beta until its full release. We expect the iOS app [on the App Store in early November 2026](https://fluxer.com/help/fluxer-app-store.md), and its TestFlight beta is [on hold for now](https://fluxer.com/help/ios-testflight.md) following a technical issue at Apple.

## Do I need an invite code to join Fluxer?

No. Sign-up on fluxer.com is open to everyone. A self-hosted instance sets its own sign-up rules, and its admins can approve each new account or close sign-up.

An invite link to a community is something else, because it lets you join that one community, and anyone in it who has permission to create invites can make one for you.

## Is Fluxer still in beta?

The Android app is in the Google Play beta, which is free to join with or without Plutonium. The iOS beta on TestFlight [is on hold for now](https://fluxer.com/help/ios-testflight.md), and we expect Fluxer to be on the App Store in early November 2026. Until then you can use Fluxer at [fluxer.com](https://fluxer.com/app). A full release on Google Play is the [first item on our roadmap](https://fluxer.com/blog/roadmap-2026.md), planned for 2026.

Threads and forums are also in [early beta](https://fluxer.com/blog/roadmap-2026.md) for everyone.

## Are the mobile apps in beta?

The Android app is in beta until its full release on Google Play. You get [the app](https://fluxer.com/help/apps.md) through the [Google Play beta](https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.fluxer) or the [Android download page](https://fluxer.com/download/android), and both are free.

Fluxer's TestFlight beta for iOS [is on hold for now](https://fluxer.com/help/ios-testflight.md), following a technical issue at Apple. Our App Store release is almost ready for approval. As of November 2, 2026, we've addressed the last item from Apple's review, and we expect the Fluxer iOS app to be on the App Store in early November 2026, without TestFlight invites or limited slots.
