# Is Fluxer vibe-coded?

No. A person who understands the code is responsible for every change to Fluxer and checks it, and you can look through all of it on GitHub.

No, Fluxer isn't vibe-coded. A person who understands the code is responsible for every change to Fluxer's code and checks it before it ships, and you can look through the [source code and its full history](https://github.com/fluxerapp/fluxer/commits/main) on GitHub, all the way back to the first public commit.

## Is Fluxer vibe-coded?

No. Vibe coding means letting an AI tool write software and shipping it without anyone reading or understanding the code, and that isn't how Fluxer is made. A person who understands the code [is responsible for every code change and checks it](https://fluxer.com/ai-stance.md) before it ships, and [two product engineers](https://fluxer.com/ai-stance.md) build Fluxer with help from a few outside contributors.

## Who built Fluxer?

Hampus Kraft started Fluxer as [his high school project](https://fluxer.com/help/story-of-fluxer.md) in 2020 and built it in private for years, with a group of testers trying each new build, until fluxer.com opened to everyone in January 2026. He has worked on Fluxer full-time since September 2025 and still leads its development. Another developer works on the iOS and Android apps.

Outside contributors follow our [LLM usage policy](https://github.com/fluxerapp/fluxer/blob/main/.github/LLM_USAGE_POLICY.md), which doesn't let them submit code, text or media that an LLM made, apart from a disclosed machine translation of their own writing. The [anti-slop policy](https://fluxer.com/ai-stance.md) still lets them use an LLM privately to research and plan their work.

## Why does Fluxer have so many lines of code?

Most of the lines that change in Fluxer's repository are translations of the app's text into 34 languages. Our AI stance page has [the git counts from five weeks in 2026](https://fluxer.com/ai-stance.md).
