# How to report a message, a person or a community on Fluxer

Report messages and profiles from their menus in the app, report anything else to safety@fluxer.com, and a person on our team reads every report.

You can report messages and profiles from their menus in the app, and you can report anything else by email. A person on our team reads every report. If someone is in immediate danger, contact your local emergency services first, before you send a report to us.

## How do I report someone on Fluxer?

To report a message, open the message's menu and choose "Report message". To report someone's profile, open their full profile and choose "Report profile" from its menu. The app asks what's wrong and helps you narrow it down, and spam has its own option.

Pick the closest match, because a person on our team reads every report either way. You can check everything you've entered before you send it.

## How do I report a whole community?

Email us at [safety@fluxer.com](mailto:safety@fluxer.com), which is also the address to use for anything else you can't report from the app. Include what you saw, where it is and enough context to show what happened, as [section 8 of our community guidelines](https://fluxer.com/guidelines.md) asks you to.

In the EU, you can also report illegal content with the form at [fluxer.com/report](https://fluxer.com/report), which asks you to confirm your email address first. You can also take a moderation dispute [to a certified out-of-court body](https://fluxer.com/help/dsa-dispute-resolution.md), and copyright complaints follow [their own process](https://fluxer.com/help/copyright.md).

## Is one report enough?

Yes. Every report is reviewed in good faith, and you don't need to send the same report again or ask others to report it too. Filing reports you know are false or organizing mass reports breaks [section 8 of our community guidelines](https://fluxer.com/guidelines.md) too.

## Will the person know I reported them?

No, the person you reported isn't told who reported them. Your identity as a reporter stays confidential, and the notice they get says which content and rule are involved, never who reported it. [Section 8 of our guidelines](https://fluxer.com/guidelines.md) lists the few exceptions, such as copyright notices and cases where a court requires us to disclose who reported.

We tell you that we got your report and what we decided about the content, but not what happened to another person's account, because that's their personal data.

## What happens after I report something?

We give the highest priority to reports about imminent danger to someone's life, child sexual exploitation or credible threats of serious violence.

When you report a message, we keep a copy of it and the messages around it so that a person on our team can see what happened, even if those messages are deleted later. [Section 7.4 of our privacy policy](https://fluxer.com/privacy.md) says how we protect that copy, who can open it and when we delete it, and [a person on our team decides on every report](https://fluxer.com/help/moderation.md).

## How do I report someone under the minimum age?

Report their profile and choose the reason about the minimum age. A person on our team reviews each of these reports, and we only act when we have reason to believe the person is under the [minimum age for their country of residence](https://fluxer.com/help/minimum-age.md).
