# Does Fluxer track me or sell my data?

No. Fluxer has no third-party analytics, no fingerprinting and no cross-site tracking, runs no ads, doesn't sell your data and never trains AI on your content.

Fluxer has no third-party analytics, no fingerprinting and no cross-site tracking. It shows no ads and never sells your data to anyone. Our [privacy policy](https://fluxer.com/privacy.md) is the binding text, and each answer below links to the section of the policy it comes from. This page is about what Fluxer itself collects, not about [what other people on Fluxer can see about you](https://fluxer.com/help/what-others-see.md).

## Does Fluxer sell my data?

No. [Section 4 of our privacy policy](https://fluxer.com/privacy.md) says we don't sell, rent, trade, broker or license your content or other personal data to anyone, or share it for anyone's advertising or marketing. [Section 3](https://fluxer.com/privacy.md) says Fluxer shows no ads and has no advertising partnerships.

## Does Fluxer track me or fingerprint my device?

No. Fluxer uses no third-party analytics or advertising services, no cross-site tracking pixels and no browser fingerprinting, and it doesn't build behavioral profiles or track which other websites you visit, as [section 2.2 of our privacy policy](https://fluxer.com/privacy.md) explains.

As [section 12 of our privacy policy](https://fluxer.com/privacy.md) says, the Fluxer app sets no cookies, and an embedded video, such as one from YouTube, can set its own site's cookies only after you press play. This website sets only strictly necessary cookies, such as one that remembers your language, and never any analytics or tracking cookies. Fluxer Feedback, our site for bug reports and feature requests, sets its own cookies, and [its privacy notice](https://fluxer.com/feedback-privacy.md) lists them.

## What does Fluxer collect when I use it?

When you connect, Fluxer gets your IP address and details about your device and browser, and it keeps security records such as sign-ins. [Section 2.2](https://fluxer.com/privacy.md) lists everything we collect this way, and [section 7](https://fluxer.com/privacy.md) says how long we keep each kind of data. Our article on [data retention](https://fluxer.com/help/data-retention.md) adds a few more retention periods, such as how long we keep support emails.

- When a peer-to-peer call connects or fails to, the app sends us a report about that connection, which says which channel the call was in and how many people were in it. We add your IP address, country, app platform and operating system, and the report has no message content and no user IDs or IP addresses of the other people in the call.
- The iOS and Android apps send crash and performance reports only if you turn on that setting, which is off by default, and they go only to [servers we run](https://fluxer.com/privacy.md).

To understand how Fluxer is used, we count sign-ups and active accounts from our own records, and none of these counts use message content.

## Why do ad and tracker blockers flag Fluxer domains?

Some blocklists that other people run list Fluxer's domains, and Fluxer doesn't serve ads or trackers from any of those domains. Our [security policy](https://fluxer.com/security.md) lists the main domains Fluxer runs, which serve the app, the files people upload and the connection the app needs to work, so blocking any of them stops parts of Fluxer from working.

## Which outside services does Fluxer use?

Fluxer uses a few service providers for things like hosting, payments, email and push notifications. [Section 4.2](https://fluxer.com/privacy.md) lists every kind, what each gets and which ones also use data for their own purposes, such as Stripe for fraud prevention. [Section 13](https://fluxer.com/privacy.md) explains GIF search, link previews and video embeds, which come from other services.

## Does Fluxer train AI on my messages?

No. [Section 3.1 of our terms](https://fluxer.com/terms.md) says Fluxer never uses your content to train, fine-tune or evaluate AI or machine learning models, and our AI stance page [says the same](https://fluxer.com/ai-stance.md).
