Why do I keep getting disconnected from calls on Fluxer?

Common causes of dropped calls, what you can check, and how to send a voice report so the team can find the cause.

Last updated on November 1, 2026

When a Fluxer call drops, the app tries to get you back on its own and tells you about known incidents. If calls keep dropping, a voice report is the best way for us to find the cause.

What happens when the connection drops?

If the app loses its connection to Fluxer, it shows "Connection lost. Reconnecting…" and tries again at least every 10 seconds. When we know of an incident at the time, the banner has "View incident details", and our status page shows what's going on.

If only the call drops, the app tries to rejoin it up to five times within 30 seconds. A screen share doesn't restart by itself after a reconnect, so you need to pick the screen again to keep streaming. A VPN, a firewall or a network that limits calls can also make calls drop or fail to connect, and trying another network can show whether that's the cause.

Why can't I join a voice channel?

When the app knows why, it tells you. "You can't join while you're timed out." means a moderator in that community has timed you out. "You've reached this voice channel's connection limit." means you're already in that channel on too many devices, and right-clicking yourself in the channel shows "Disconnect all devices". "Couldn't connect to voice. Please try again." means the connection timed out or dropped while you were joining.

How do I report dropped calls?

Please report the problem with the voice diagnostics from every person in the call, and a person on our team will look at what happened. You can also post it on Fluxer Feedback with your platform, your Fluxer version and the logs from the desktop app's log folder.
