Many Discord bots can be ported to Fluxer with small changes, because Fluxer is compatible with large parts of Discord's API. The bot still has to run as a Fluxer bot with its own token, and slash commands aren't available for bots yet.
Will my Discord bot work on Fluxer?
Not without changes. To move it over, its developer creates an application on Fluxer, which gives the bot its own account and token, and points the bot's code at Fluxer's API and gateway. Each Fluxer instance lists those addresses at /.well-known/fluxer, and the developer docs describe the API in full. A bot built on slash commands, buttons or modals won't fully work until those come to Fluxer, which item 6 of our roadmap plans for 2026.
Can I add a Discord bot to my Fluxer community?
Not directly. A bot you add with a Discord invite link only joins Discord servers, and it can join your Fluxer community only if its developer runs a Fluxer version of it. If a bot you use has no Fluxer version yet, ask its developer or look through the community-made bot lists.
Do Discord webhook URLs work on Fluxer?
No, but you can create a Fluxer webhook in the "Webhooks" tab of "Community settings" and use its URL. A Fluxer webhook accepts the same fields that many other tools already send, such as content, embeds, username and avatar_url, and a tool that posts to a Discord webhook often works as soon as you swap in the Fluxer URL.
Fluxer webhooks also accept Slack's incoming webhook format. Add /slack to the end of a Fluxer webhook URL, and tools that post to Slack can send their text and attachments. With /github instead, a GitHub repository's webhook can post commits, issues, pull requests and checks. Our webhook docs list every format.
