Can I automate my own Fluxer account with my user token?

Yes, non-malicious automation of your own account is allowed. Spam, scraping other people's data and getting around bans or rate limits aren't.

Yes. You can automate your own Fluxer account with your user token, for example with a script that tidies your DMs or a selfbot that only you use, as long as it isn't malicious.

What do the guidelines say about automating my account?

Our community guidelines allow automation where Fluxer permits it, and we permit non-malicious automation of your own account. Some parts of the API, such as your settings and your friends list, only work with a user token, as the developer docs say.

Are selfbots allowed on Fluxer?

Yes, as long as they don't harm other people or the service. Using your account for spam, raids, scraping other people's data in bulk or getting around bans, rate limits or moderation isn't allowed, whether you do it by hand or with a script. If a selfbot does any of that, we can take action on your account under section 6 of the community guidelines. The rate limits apply to your token the same way they apply to the official apps on every platform.

Should I use a bot account instead?

Yes, if other people will use your bot, a bot account is the better fit. It belongs to an application, has its own token and can be added to communities with the permissions their admins choose (how bots work). You don't need one to automate your own account.

How do I keep my token safe?

Treat your token like your password, because anyone with it can use your account until that session is signed out. Only paste it into scripts and tools you wrote or fully trust, and if it leaks, sign out that device or change your password right away.
