Is another Fluxer instance run by Fluxer?

No. Anyone can run Fluxer's open source code, and instances Fluxer doesn't run have their own admins, rules and moderation.

Last updated on November 1, 2026

No. fluxer.com is the only instance we run. Fluxer is open source under the AGPL, so anyone can run an instance, and each one has its own admins, rules and moderation.

Who moderates another Fluxer instance?

The people who run that instance moderate it. Fluxer doesn't moderate instances we don't run and can't ban anyone from them. Each instance runs under its admins' own terms, and the admins are responsible for the data on it. Fluxer has none of that instance's messages, files or accounts, and our privacy policy and terms apply only to fluxer.com. That's still true even when another instance links to our policies or copies their text.

Who do I report a problem on another instance to?

Report it to that instance's admins. Reports you send in the app go to the instance your account is on, so if your account is on another instance, they go to its admins.

How do I report child abuse material on another instance?

Report it to that instance's admins and to NCMEC's CyberTipline, or to the hotline in your country. For anything on fluxer.com, email safety@fluxer.com or report it in the app.

Can I use my fluxer.com account on another instance?

No. Each instance has its own accounts, and you sign up on that instance. Fluxer isn't federated yet, so profiles and messages don't move between instances. Federation is item 3 on our roadmap, with an experimental draft planned for 2026 and a stable one in 2027.

The desktop and mobile apps can be signed in to accounts on fluxer.com and on other instances at the same time, and each account still belongs to its own instance.
