Lost your 2FA app or passkey? How to get back into Fluxer

Use a backup code if you saved one. Otherwise write to support from your account's email address, and a person on our team will help.

Sign in with one of your backup codes. If you've lost every second factor and have no backup codes left, email support@fluxer.com from the email address on your account, and a person on our team will help you get back into your account.

I lost my authenticator app or passkey. How do I get back in?

Every account with two-factor authentication has backup codes, and each one works once in place of your authenticator app or passkey. After you're back in, set up your authenticator app again or add a new passkey under "Security" in "Account" in "User settings".

If you have no backup codes left, write to our support team from the email address on your account, and tell them which second factor you have lost.

Can I remove a passkey I lost?

Yes. To remove a passkey you've lost, you confirm it's you with your authenticator app, another passkey or a backup code. Fluxer asks for your second factor before changes like this one, and your password alone isn't accepted while two-factor authentication is on.

What if my account is on a self-hosted instance?

Contact the admin of that instance. Our support team can only help with accounts on fluxer.com, and the admin of a self-hosted instance can turn off two-factor authentication for your account so you can sign in again with your password.
