To do a clean reinstall on a Mac, quit Fluxer, move the app and its folder in Application Support to the Trash and install it again. You're signed out of every account on this Mac, and your messages, communities and account settings come back when you sign in. Check what you need before you start, such as your password and your second factor.

How do I reinstall Fluxer on a Mac?

  1. Click Fluxer in the Dock, then choose "Fluxer" > "Quit Fluxer" or press Cmd+Q.
  2. In Finder, open "Applications" and drag Fluxer to the Trash.
  3. In Finder, press Shift+Cmd+G, enter ~/Library/Application Support and press Return, then drag the fluxer folder you find there to the Trash. Shift+Cmd+G opens your Library folder even though Finder keeps it hidden by default.
  4. To delete the logs, do the same with fluxer_desktop in ~/Library/Logs.
  5. To reset the microphone, camera, screen recording and input monitoring permissions you gave Fluxer, run tccutil reset All app.fluxer in Terminal.
  6. Empty the Trash.
  7. Download Fluxer, open the disk image and drag it to "Applications".

A reinstall turns on "Launch Fluxer at login", so Fluxer opens when you log in to your Mac. If you don't want that, you can turn it off in "macOS app" settings.

How do I reinstall Fluxer Canary on a Mac?

For Fluxer Canary, the folders are fluxercanary and fluxer_desktop_canary, and the Terminal command is tccutil reset All app.fluxer.canary.
