What other people and bots on Fluxer can see about you

Other people and bots don't get your IP address from Fluxer, except in opt-in peer-to-peer calls, and an app only gets your email address if you allow it.

Fluxer doesn't give other people or bots your IP or email address, apart from a few exceptions you choose yourself, such as peer-to-peer calls.

Can other people see my IP address on Fluxer?

No. Messages, profiles, moderation tools, bots and webhooks don't show your IP address to other people, and regular calls go through Fluxer's voice servers. Peer-to-peer calls and outside websites are the cases where someone else can see it.

What can a bot see?

A bot sees what its roles let it see, and community admins choose those roles when they add the bot. It gets the messages in the channels it can view, and older messages too if it can see message history. Fluxer doesn't give bots your IP address, and an app you authorize only gets your email if you grant it the email permission.

Bots are run by their developers, not by Fluxer. A bot's developer can save what the bot can see, as section 4.1 of our privacy policy says. You can stop bots in your communities from sending you DMs with "Allow direct messages from community bots" under "Friends & direct messages" in "Privacy" settings, but the bots can still post in channels.

Why did a bot ask me to verify on a website?

A bot that asks you to verify on a website sends you to its developer's site, and that site sees your IP address. Communities can set a verification level in Fluxer itself, which needs no outside site and doesn't share your IP address with anyone.

What happens when I block someone on Fluxer?

Fluxer doesn't tell the person you block. Neither of you can DM the other while the block is in place, and you can unblock them whenever you like in your settings.

Does "Invisible" hide me completely on Fluxer?

No. "Invisible" makes you appear offline to everyone else, but people still see the messages you send, and anyone in a voice channel sees you when you join it.

Does Fluxer have read receipts?

No. Other people can't see whether you've read their message.

Can I use a different profile in each community?

Your username is the same everywhere, and you can set a different nickname in each community if it allows nickname changes. With Plutonium on fluxer.com, you can also have a separate profile for each community, with its own avatar, banner, bio and accent color. Other people see which communities you share with them under "Mutual communities" on your profile, and they can't see the other communities you're in.
