Add our apt repository and install the fluxer package with the commands on the "Debian and Ubuntu" tab of the Linux downloads. After that, apt keeps Fluxer up to date along with the rest of your system, on both x64 and arm64 computers.
What are the apt commands for Fluxer?
Open a terminal and run these commands, which are the same as on the download page. They save our signing key, add the repository and install Fluxer.
sudo install -d -m 0755 /etc/apt/keyrings
sudo curl -fsSL -o /etc/apt/keyrings/fluxer-archive-keyring.gpg https://pkgs.fluxer.com/keys/fluxer-archive-keyring.gpg
sudo curl -fsSL -o /etc/apt/sources.list.d/fluxer.sources https://pkgs.fluxer.com/deb/fluxer.sources
sudo apt update && sudo apt install fluxer
Our apt repository is signed with our archive key, which has the fingerprint 09D01339EE128925F75E675C855C5BDE34D205D2 and also signs our other repositories.
How does Fluxer update on Ubuntu and Debian?
New versions of Fluxer come through apt, along with your other updates. If the app won't pick up an update, click "Restart Fluxer" in the tray menu.
Can I install the Fluxer .deb file without the repository?
Yes. On the "Direct download" tab of the Linux downloads, select "Intel x86_64" or "ARM64" and then "deb". A .deb file you install this way doesn't get updates until you add our repository, and the commands for that are at the top of this page.
- https://pkgs.fluxer.com/desktop/stable/linux/arm64/latest/deb
You can check that the file is genuine with its checksum.
How do I install Fluxer Canary on Ubuntu and Debian?
Fluxer Canary has its own repository entry and the package fluxer-canary, and you can install it next to the stable app. Save the signing key with the first two commands above, then run these two commands to add the Canary entry and install it.
sudo curl -fsSL -o /etc/apt/sources.list.d/fluxer-canary.sources https://pkgs.fluxer.com/deb/fluxer-canary.sources
sudo apt update && sudo apt install fluxer-canary
To remove Fluxer or start over, follow the steps to reinstall Fluxer on Linux.
