The official Linux builds are the ones on the download page, in our own apt, dnf, pacman and Flatpak repositories, and the Flathub app app.fluxer.Fluxer. Packages from anywhere else are made by other people. Fluxer also has apps for Windows, macOS, iOS and Android.
What does Fluxer publish for Linux?
We make builds for x64 and arm64 as AppImage, .deb, .rpm and tar.gz. We also run our own signed repositories, and with them you get updates through your package manager on release day. Each install method has its own article with the steps.
- Install Fluxer on Ubuntu and Debian with apt
- Install Fluxer on Fedora and RHEL with dnf
- Install Fluxer on Arch Linux with pacman
- Install Fluxer with Flatpak on any distribution
- Download the AppImage or tar.gz
Is the Fluxer Flatpak official?
Yes. The Flatpak in our own repository and the Flathub app app.fluxer.Fluxer are both ours, and the Flatpak guide says which one we recommend and why.
Is the AUR package official?
No. We don't publish packages to the AUR, and the ones there are made by community members. Some of them install our own builds, but we don't run them and can't say how up to date they are. On Arch Linux and distributions based on it, you can install the fluxer package from our own pacman repository and get updates on release day.
How do I know my Linux download is genuine?
Your package manager checks the signature of every package from our repositories. For a file you download yourself from the download page, you can check that your download is genuine. If the app looks out of date after an update, try a clean reinstall.
