Yes. You can refund a recent Plutonium purchase yourself from the Plutonium page in "User settings", and if you're a consumer in the EU, the EEA, the UK or Brazil, you can also withdraw from a purchase. For anything else, a person on our team will handle your request. Section 4.2 of our terms sets the time limit and the other rules for refunds.
Can I get a refund for Plutonium?
If you paid on the web, in the desktop app or on Google Play, you can request a self-service refund for a subscription or a gift on the Plutonium page in "User settings". Section 4.2 sets how long you have, and the app tells you why when a self-service refund isn't possible. Each refund goes back to the payment method you used to pay.
You can use one self-service refund in each rolling 30-day period, and it refunds every payment you made on the web and in the desktop app in the last 3 days, for example both payments when you upgraded your plan. It also refunds your latest Google Play purchase from those 3 days. If you refund a subscription, it ends right away. If you refund a gift, we may take it back from the person who got it, and we may tell them about it.
If you're a consumer in the EU, the EEA, the UK or Brazil, you also have a right to withdraw from a new subscription, a switch to another plan or a gift, even after Plutonium has started. An automatic renewal of the same plan doesn't start a new withdrawal period.
If you bought a subscription or gift in the EU or the EEA before our current terms took effect, each automatic renewal of it starts a new withdrawal period. If you withdraw from one of those purchases or renewals, you get a full refund of that payment and pay nothing for the time you or the recipient had Plutonium, as section 4.3 of our terms describes. A new purchase on Google Play follows Google's terms for withdrawal.
If you withdraw in Brazil, you get everything back. If you withdraw in the EU, the EEA or the UK from a purchase under our current terms, you pay for the days you had Plutonium and get the rest back, and a gift that nobody has redeemed yet is refunded in full.
If you paid on the web or in the desktop app, press "Withdraw from contract here" next to the purchase on the Plutonium page in "User settings". Section 4.3 of our terms gives the deadline, what you get back and the other ways to tell us.
For a billing error, a charge you didn't make or anything outside the self-service window, write to us through the contact page, and a person on our team will handle it.
How do I get a refund for an App Store or Google Play purchase?
For a purchase on Google Play, you can use the self-service refund on the Plutonium page within the time section 4.2 of our terms gives, or ask Google for a refund. To withdraw from a Google Play purchase, you use Google's refund process under Google's terms. Once the iOS app is on the App Store, Apple will handle refunds for Plutonium bought there.
Should I dispute a charge with my bank?
You can always dispute a charge with your bank, and Plutonium keeps working while the dispute is open. A dispute about a wrong, repeated or unauthorized charge never leads to enforcement against your account. While a dispute is open, you may not be able to make new purchases related to it, and we may ask you for information about the charge.
Only a fraudulent or bad-faith dispute can lead to enforcement, and only when every condition in section 4.4 of our terms is true, for example that you or someone you allowed made the payment, we charged the right amount once and you got what you paid for. If you'd rather, write to us first through the contact page and we'll look at a refund.
