What happens to my community if I leave or get banned?

Fluxer doesn't hand a community to someone else when its owner leaves or is banned, so transfer ownership to someone you trust before you go.

Fluxer doesn't hand your community to someone else when you leave Fluxer or get banned. If you want it to keep going with an owner, transfer ownership to someone you trust before you go. Fluxer doesn't transfer communities, so nobody can do it after you've left.

Does banning or deleting my account remove my community?

You can't delete your account while it still owns a community, until you transfer the community to someone else or delete the community yourself.

Banning your account doesn't by itself remove your community. Its members, channels and messages stay unless we also act on the community under section 9 of our community guidelines. We don't move its ownership to another member, and the moderators and admins you've given roles to keep running it with the permissions they have.

The same happens if your account is deleted after 2 years with no sign-ins or other activity, and the community then has no owner. We email you first, and signing in after that email keeps the account, as our article on inactive accounts says.

Can Fluxer give me ownership of an abandoned community?

No. Fluxer doesn't transfer communities between members, and there's no process to ask for it, even when the owner is gone. If you own a community, transfer it to someone you trust before you step away from Fluxer for a long time or delete your account.

How do I transfer ownership?

Right-click the member's name in the member list, or long-press it in the mobile apps, and choose "Transfer ownership". Fluxer asks you to confirm it's you first, and you can't transfer a community to a bot. If your community is partnered, tell us before you hand it over, and a verified community can lose its badge if the new owner doesn't speak for the project.
