You can disable or delete your account from your account settings.

How to find these options

  1. Sign in at fluxer.com/login.
  2. Open "User settings" (the cogwheel at the bottom left).
  3. Go to "Account".
  4. Choose "Delete account" or "Disable account".

Deleting your account

If you own a community, transfer it to someone else or delete it first, because an account that owns a community cannot be deleted. Section 6.1 of our terms explains the grace period that starts when you choose delete and how to cancel it, and section 7.3 of our privacy policy explains what happens to your data after your account is deleted.

Messages

Messages you don't delete stay visible in the channels and conversations where you sent them, but they're no longer linked to your account. You can delete them first.

Once your account is gone, you cannot delete its messages.

Disabling your account

Section 6.1 of our terms explains what disabling does and that signing in undoes it.

Inactive accounts

Section 7.3 of our privacy policy explains when inactive accounts may be scheduled for deletion. Signing in after you get the advance notice keeps the account active.

Instances can also turn on deleting accounts that were never finished.

  • An account with no way back in, like one started with only a name and no email, password or passkey yet. It may be deleted 24 hours after its last session ends, or after 90 days without use by default. Claim your account shows how to add an email.
  • An account with no date of birth, after 7 days without use by default.

See Minimum age requirements for accounts below the minimum age.
