Everyone in a community can use its custom emoji and stickers there for free, animated ones included, and with Plutonium you can also use them in other communities and in DMs. Equipping emoji and stickers from a community so you keep them on your account after you leave isn't in the app yet, and it's item 7 on our roadmap, planned for 2026.
Does Fluxer let you equip emoji and stickers?
Not yet. The emoji and sticker pickers show emoji and stickers from the communities you're in, and a community's emoji and stickers disappear from them when you leave.
What will equipping emoji and stickers do?
You'll be able to equip emoji and stickers from a community you're in and keep them on your account after you leave. It's planned for 2026, and we don't have an exact date yet.
Will equipping emoji and stickers need Plutonium?
On fluxer.com, equipping will be part of Plutonium, like using a community's emoji and stickers in other communities is today. Using a community's emoji and stickers inside that community stays free for everyone, animated ones included.
We'd also like to let people without Plutonium equip at least a few of their favorite emoji and stickers, and we're still working out how much of this we can offer for free.
Like everything on the roadmap, equipping goes into the free and open source Fluxer software that fluxer.com runs, so self-hosted instances get it too.
How many emoji and stickers can a community have?
On fluxer.com, each community can have up to 500 emoji and up to 500 stickers. On a self-hosted instance, the instance's admins set the limits for each community.
How do I follow progress on equipping emoji?
You can vote for it or post your ideas on Fluxer Feedback, and we'll list it in our patch notes when it's out. The roadmap has the status of every planned item.
