On the "Direct download" tab of the Linux downloads, select "Intel x86_64" or "ARM64", then select "AppImage" and click "Download AppImage". The AppImage updates itself when it's in a folder you can write to, and it works on NixOS as well.
Where are the Fluxer AppImage download links?
These links always download the newest stable version.
- https://pkgs.fluxer.com/desktop/stable/linux/arm64/latest/appimage
- https://pkgs.fluxer.com/desktop/stable/linux/x64/latest/tar_gz
- https://pkgs.fluxer.com/desktop/stable/linux/arm64/latest/tar_gz
For Fluxer Canary, use canary in place of stable in each link.
How does the Fluxer AppImage update?
The AppImage updates itself when it's saved in a folder that you can write to. If the app won't pick up an update, click "Restart Fluxer" in the tray menu.
Every AppImage also has an appimage.zsync file next to it, which AppImage update tools use to download only the parts of the file that have changed.
Does the Fluxer tar.gz update itself?
No. The tar.gz download doesn't update itself, so you download each new version yourself from the Linux downloads. To get updates through your package manager, use our Flatpak or our repository for Ubuntu and Debian, Fedora or Arch Linux.
How do I check the Fluxer AppImage?
Every download has a checksum file at the same address with .sha256 at the end, such as https://pkgs.fluxer.com/desktop/stable/linux/x64/latest/appimage.sha256. You can compare the checksum with sha256sum before you run the file you downloaded.
To remove Fluxer or start over, follow the steps to reinstall the AppImage or tar.gz.
