Open our Android download page, go to "Direct downloads", pick a build and the architecture your phone needs and tap "Download the APK". The APK files come from our releases on GitHub, and the app is a public beta that needs Android 7 or later.
Which Fluxer APK should I pick?
Most phones need the Firebase Cloud Messaging build, called betafcm, which is for phones with Google Play services, such as Samsung and Pixel phones. The UnifiedPush build, called betaoss, is for phones without Google Play services, such as phones running GrapheneOS, and it gets notifications through UnifiedPush, which you set up separately. Both builds install as the same app, and one replaces the other, so pick one and stay with it.
Which Android architecture do I need?
Almost every phone made since 2016 needs arm64-v8a. There are also builds for armeabi-v7a and x86_64, and a universal build that works on any Android phone. If you aren't sure which one you need, pick the universal build, which is a much larger download.
Where are the Fluxer APK download links?
Each "Download the APK" button on the download page opens a link that always gets you the newest file on GitHub. These are the links for the Firebase build.
- /download/android/latest/fcm/arm64-v8a
- /download/android/latest/fcm/armeabi-v7a
- /download/android/latest/fcm/x86_64
- /download/android/latest/fcm/universal
For the UnifiedPush build, use oss in place of fcm, as in /download/android/latest/oss/arm64-v8a. The files on GitHub have names such as app-arm64-v8a-betafcm-release.apk, and the universal build is app-betafcm-release.apk.
If the page can't load the list of builds, it links to our releases on GitHub instead.
How do I update the Fluxer APK?
An APK you download yourself doesn't update on its own, so you need to download the new one from the Android download page each time there's an update. The page shows the version number of the newest beta under its heading, next to "Latest beta".
To get updates without doing that, install the app with Obtainium, which installs the beta from GitHub and keeps it updated. On the download page, tap "Obtainium (most phones)" for the Firebase build or "Obtainium (degoogled phones)" for the UnifiedPush build.
If Obtainium says "Cannot install an older version of an app" when it tries to update Fluxer, you need to uninstall Fluxer once and install it again from Obtainium.
How do I check the Fluxer APK signature?
The builds on our download page and on GitHub are signed with the certificate that has this SHA-256 fingerprint, and the Google Play beta is signed with a different one. If you got a Fluxer APK anywhere else, check its fingerprint before you install it.

Is the Fluxer APK the same as the Google Play beta?
It's the same beta app, but the Google Play beta is signed differently from the APKs on GitHub, and one can't update the other. To switch, uninstall Fluxer, install the other build and sign in again. Google Play sometimes gets a new beta later than GitHub.
Fluxer isn't on F-Droid or Accrescent yet, but you can read about our plans.
