No. Fluxer has no setting that deletes old messages automatically and no disappearing messages, but you can delete your own messages in bulk.
Can old messages be deleted automatically?
No. Your messages stay until you delete them, and a community's moderators can delete messages in their channels by hand. Automatic deletion isn't on Roadmap 2026, and you can ask for it on Fluxer Feedback, where other people can vote for it too.
To clean up old messages yourself, use "Delete my messages" under "Privacy" in "User settings". You can choose which kinds of conversations to include, include or leave out specific communities and set a date range, for example everything before a certain date. The deletion runs in the background and can't be undone once it starts.
If you want to keep a copy first, "Export my data" in the same place gives you a ZIP file of your data, but it doesn't include attachments, so download any files you want to keep.
Does Fluxer have disappearing messages?
No. Messages never disappear after a set time, in DMs, group DMs, chat channels or anywhere else, and disappearing messages aren't on Roadmap 2026 either.
What happens to my messages when I delete my account?
Messages you haven't deleted stay where you sent them, but they're no longer linked to your account, and you can't delete them after the account is gone. If you want them gone too, delete them yourself before you delete your account.
