No, Fluxer isn't dead. We post patch notes on our blog, and Fluxer is run and funded by Fluxer Platform AB, a small Swedish company with no outside investors.
Is Fluxer dead?
No. Our latest patch notes came out on November 1, 2026, and every earlier post is on our blog. We also keep our roadmap up to date. fluxer.com passed 500,000 accounts on October 19, 2026, and Hampus Kraft, who founded Fluxer, works on it full-time.
Will Fluxer shut down?
We have no plans to shut down fluxer.com. It's run by Fluxer Platform AB, which has no outside investors, and it's funded by Plutonium, the Operator Pass and donations.
What happens to my communities if Fluxer stops?
You can export your account data at any time. Communities on fluxer.com are stored on our servers, and we plan to let you move one to another instance later.
The Fluxer software is open source under the AGPL, and anyone can run it on their own instance for free and keep it running, whatever happens to fluxer.com. The official desktop and mobile apps can connect to any self-hosted instance too.
