A person on our team decides every report and every appeal, and you can appeal the decisions that we make about your content, your community or your account.
Does Fluxer use AI for moderation or support?
A person on our team makes every decision on reports and appeals, and our support team, who are real people, handle every support conversation. Our spam filters are rules our team writes from known abuse patterns, and you can appeal anything they do.
The only machine learning that checks what you post is a small image classifier on our servers. It marks images and videos in messages and link previews that are likely explicit, and your "Sensitive content" settings and the 18+ limits use that mark to blur or block them. A mark never punishes an account or files a report, and it only affects that one file.
Who decides on reports, suspensions and bans?
A person on our team decides every report, and section 9 of our community guidelines says a person makes every decision to suspend or ban an account, remove a community or permanently delete messages, and that you can appeal each of these decisions.
The spam rules flag likely spam and scam activity for our team to investigate. An account that our spam rules mark as very likely spam can get limits, such as paused messaging, until the team reviews it, and a person on our team can lift any of them.
A small number of these accounts may be asked to verify a phone number. If yours is, you can ask our support team to verify you by hand, without giving us a number.
How do I appeal a decision?
When we act on your content, community or account, we send you the reasons and tell you how to appeal. Email appeals@fluxer.com from the email address on the affected account if you can, and tell us why you think the decision is wrong.
A person on our team reads and decides every appeal, including every appeal of a ban, and if you're in the EU, you can also take a moderation dispute to an out-of-court body.
Can I make a new account if I'm banned?
No. Making new accounts to get around a ban isn't allowed under section 6 of the guidelines, and the new accounts can be banned too, so appeal the ban instead.
Can I write to you in my own language?
Yes. You can write reports, appeals and support requests to us in any language you like, and a person on our team reads and handles every one of them.
Do the community guidelines apply in DMs and private communities?
The same community guidelines apply everywhere on Fluxer, including direct messages, group DMs, private communities, calls, profiles and usernames.
Fluxer doesn't read your DMs or any other messages. A person on our team opens a specific message only in four cases, which are when it's reported, when we investigate a specific rule break, when there's a credible safety issue or when we respond to a valid legal request. Only people in certain roles can do this, and every access is recorded in an audit log that we keep, as our page on staff access to DMs explains in more detail.
A community can set stricter rules of its own, but it can't allow what the guidelines prohibit. Its own moderators enforce its extra rules, and the people who run it are responsible for how it's moderated, as section 10 of the guidelines says.
Is Fluxer a free speech platform?
Fluxer's community guidelines apply to everyone. Disagreement, criticism, difficult discussion and unpopular opinions are allowed, and harassment, exploitation, attacks on people for who they are and deception that causes harm are not, as the basic rule says.
We consider context, such as whether something reads as satire, reporting or condemnation, before we decide whether it breaks a rule.
Can someone get me banned with a false report?
A report on its own doesn't decide anything, and a person on our team makes every decision. Filing a report you know is false, or getting others to mass-report someone, breaks section 8 of the guidelines and can lead to action against the person who filed it.
The same goes for reports that someone is under the minimum age. A person on our team reviews each of these reports, and if we act on your account because we think you're too young, you can still appeal without sending ID or a selfie.
